This is a proud moment for India! Amid record highs of gold, huge gold reserves worth more than ₹2.5 lakh crore have been discovered in Rajasthan’s Banswara district. According to official information, the third gold mine has been confirmed in Kankaria village of Ghatol area of Banswara, which is spread over an area of about 3 kilometers. It is estimated that about 222 Ton of pure gold is present here, whose market value is estimated at around ₹ 2.6 lakh crore. Apart from this, there is a possibility of more than 11 crore tonnes of gold ore in the entire area. Experts believe that in the coming years, Banswara district will be able to supply about 25% of India’s total gold demand — that is, out of the 800 Ton annual consumption in the country, about 200 Ton of gold will be obtained from this region alone. Interestingly, along with Rajasthan, Bihar is also moving towards becoming a “gold city”. Jamui district of Bihar has 44% of India’s total gold ore resources i.e. 222.8 Million Ton gold reserves. India is now preparing to touch new heights in gold production.
