The Uttar Pradesh government has made a big announcement for the farmers. On the instructions of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, a special campaign will start in the state from 16 September. The goal of this campaign is to register every farmer in the state. The government says that this time more than 2.88 crore farmers will be included in the registration process. The objective of the government can be clearly added to the name of every farmer so that he can get the benefit of government schemes without any delay.

So far, about 1.45 crore farmers have been registered, which is about half of the total number. This is considered to be a big achievement, but still a long way remains to be set. Bijnor is at the forefront of the districts that have done the best. The names of more than 58 percent farmers have been recorded here. After this, the condition of districts like Hardoi, Shravasti, Pilibhit and Rampur is also strong. At the same time, some districts are behind where progress has been slow. The government has decided that additional teams and resources will be sent to these districts so that the registration work can be done fast.

Why is this registration necessary?

Often farmers are deprived of schemes only because their name is not in the register or the documents are disturbed. This problem will be overcome by this campaign. The main objective is that the registration of every farmer should be completed before the next installment of Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana (PM-Kisan). With this, no eligible farmer will have trouble taking advantage of.
