Bollywood’s historical war drama film ‘120 Bahadur’ was released in theaters this Friday. Not only did it have to clash with Riteish Deshmukh starrer ‘Masti 4’, it also faced tough competition from several films that were released in theaters a few weeks ago, including ‘De De Pyar De 2’, after which its opening was lackluster. Farhan Akhtar has made a comeback on screen after six years with ‘120 Bahadur’. This film is based on the battle of Rejang La in 1962 and in it Farhan played the role of the great martyr Major Shaitan Singh Bhati. Bhati was posthumously awarded the Param Vir Chakra for his bravery in the India-China war.
This war drama opened with Rs 2.25 crore on the first day of release. However, it performed better over the weekend. While on Saturday ‘120 Bahadur’ earned Rs 3.85 crore with a growth of 71.11 per cent, on Sunday it collected Rs 4 crore with a growth of 3.90 per cent. But as soon as it entered weekdays, its business graph fell.
- According to the early trend report of Saknilk, ‘120 Bahadur’ has earned Rs 1.40 crore on the fourth day of its release i.e. first Monday.
- With this, the total collection of 4 days of ‘120 Bahadur’ has become Rs 11.50 crore.
Farhan Akhtar is going to enter top 10 Bollywood films
‘120 Bahadur’ has left behind the lifetime collection of Farhan Akhtar’s 2017 film Lucknow Central (10.57 crores). Now it is inches away from beating the actor’s Rock On 2 (11.50 crores). With this, it will officially be included in the top 10 highest grossing films of the actor.
