A heart-wrenching incident happened on the night of October 15 with an 18-year-old class 12 student in Lucknow, the capital of Uttar Pradesh. The youth in the car, on the pretext of giving her a lift, forcibly made the girl student sit in the car, mixed intoxicants in her tea, made her unconscious and then committed the heinous act of gangrape. Taking action in this case, the police have arrested two accused, while raids are being conducted in search of another accused.
It was told that the victim had left the house on October 15 after being angry with her family. After roaming around with her friend all day, she was returning home by auto late at night. The auto driver lost his way near Khurramnagar, due to which the student got down. Meanwhile, a car stopped in which two youths were traveling. He offered the student a lift to Vikas Nagar. When the student refused, the young man in the car reassured her and forcibly pulled her into the car.
Raped by mixing drugs in tea, held hostage for 4 days
In the car, the accused made the student drink tea mixed with intoxicants, due to which she became unconscious. After this the victim was taken to a flat. There the youth committed gangrape. Half an hour later, another youth reached there and also raped the student. After the gangrape, one of the accused held the student hostage for four days, after which he escaped.
The accused threatened the student on phone
When the student went missing, her family members had first lodged a missing complaint. When the student returned home on October 18, she did not tell anything about the incident out of fear. However, on October 19, accused Junaid threatened her over phone and message, after which the student got scared and narrated her ordeal to her family members. On October 22, the family reached Madiyav police station and a case was registered on the complaint of the student.
Two accused of gangrape arrested, search for one continues
Inspector Shivanand Mishra said that on Thursday (23 October), two named accused Anshuman and Junaid have been arrested. Anshuman’s father works in the wireless department. Police are currently searching for the third accused Shivansh. Interrogation of both the arrested accused is going on, and action has been taken under relevant sections in the case and they have been sent to jail.
