July bank holiday: The month of July is now about to start. During this time, banks will remain closed in different states. Under the RBI’s Negotiable Instruments Act, banks will have a holiday in view of local festival and religious festivals in many different states. In these 13 holidays, apart from 4 Sundays and fourth Saturdays, there will be no work in 7 more days banks.
When and when banks will be discharged in July
- First, on July 3 (Thursday), banks will be closed for speech worship in Agartala.
- June 5 is the birth anniversary of Guru Hargobind Singh ji, so banks will be holiday in Jammu and Srinagar on this day.
- Banks will remain closed everywhere due to Sunday on July 6 and the second Saturday on 12 July.
- On July 13, there will be Sunday holiday in banks.
- On July 14, there will be a holiday in the banks due to the fashion in Shillong.
- On July 16, there will be no work in banks in Dehradun on the occasion of Harela festival.
- On July 17, banks will be closed in Shillong on the death anniversary of U Tirot Singh.
- On July 19, banks in Agartala will be closed on the occasion of Ker Puja.
- On Sunday, July 20, on Sunday and 26 July, due to the fourth Saturday and then on 27 July, there will be a holiday of banks everywhere.
- On July 28, banks in Gangtok will remain closed due to Draukpa Tse-J.
Will be able to take support of online banking
It is clear from this list that banks will be closed for 3 consecutive days from July 12 to 14 in Shillong. Banks will also have a holiday in Gangtok from 26 to 28 July. During this time, services like check clearance, RTGS and NEFT may be delayed due to the shutdown of the branch, but will be able to make money transactions or bill payment etc. through online banking and ATM.
