On Friday (September 12) in Bijapur district of Chhattisgarh, security forces killed two Naxalites in an encounter. Within 24 hours, security forces in Chhattisgarh have got this second major success. On Thursday, 10 Naxalites were killed in Gariaband district.
Based on the presence of Maoists in the southwest region of Bijapur district, security forces started search operation. During this campaign, there was intermittent encounter between security forces and Maoists in the morning. So far, the bodies of 02 Maoists have been recovered from the encounter site during the search operation. Also, 303 rifles including other weapons, explosive materials and daily use items have been recovered from the spot.
