Rescue operation is going on after the accident due to hill collapse in Sonbhadra, Uttar Pradesh. There is a possibility of many people being buried under the debris. Relief and rescue operations are being conducted in the presence of police and administrative officials.

Varanasi ADG Zone told on social media platform ‘X’ that ADG Piyush Mordia has taken immediate cognizance of the incident and he himself went to inspect the spot. He took information regarding the incident from the officers and employees present on the spot. After this, the ADG gave necessary directions to the officers regarding relief and rescue operations.

Police officials said that this incident happened in Obra police station area of ​​Sonbhadra district. Police had received information that some people were buried under stones due to the cracking of the hill in the mine of Krishna Mining Works located at Raspahari of Cati Markundi Mining. On receiving information, Obra police station immediately reached the spot and carried out rescue work.

It is being told that this accident happened late at night. So far two people have died in this, while about 15 people are feared to be trapped. After the information, teams of National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) and State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) are also present on the spot and the rescue operation is going on.

After receiving information about the accident, District Magistrate BN Singh reached the spot in the night. Giving information, he said that efforts are going on to rescue the buried people. National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) and State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) teams have come from Mirzapur.

Meanwhile, Uttar Pradesh Minister of State for Social Welfare and local MLA Sanjeev Kumar Gond visited the spot. Describing the relief and rescue work, he said that every possible effort is being made to rescue the people trapped under the debris.
