In the fourth T20, the Indian team has been able to score only 167 runs while playing first. At one time the Indian batsmen had scored 121 runs at the loss of 2 wickets, but after that wickets kept falling rapidly. There was a change in the batting order, as Shivam Dubey was seen batting at number-3. In particular, Nathan Ellis and Adam Zampa wreaked havoc on the Indian batting line-up, both took three wickets each.

Gill and Abhishek got off to a good start

Shubhman Gill and Abhishek Sharma gave a good start to Team India. Both of them made an opening partnership of 56 runs, but Abhishek was out on the score of 28 while trying to play a big shot. Shivam Dubey, who usually bats in the middle order, came to bat at number three. Dubey scored 22 runs, while captain Suryakumar Yadav made a good start by swinging the bat in a explosive manner, also hitting 2 sixes but ended after scoring 20 runs.

2 wickets fell at 121, then…

At one time the Indian team had lost only 2 wickets on the score of 121 runs. After that there was such a fall of wickets that within the next 15 runs, four batsmen were out. Tilak Verma and Jitesh Sharma could not even touch double figures in terms of runs. The seventh wicket fell at the score of 152 and Washington Sundar also left after hitting 2 fours. Thanks to Akshar Patel’s cameo inning of 21 runs, Team India was able to reach beyond 160.

Nathan Ellis proved to be the most lethal bowler for Australia, taking three wickets for just 21 runs in 4 overs. Adam Zampa proved to be expensive, but he also dismissed three batsmen of Team India. Xavier Bartlett and Marcus Stoinis took one wicket each.
