Delhi flyover: The problem of traffic jam in the country’s capital Delhi is not new. Even after leaving the house ahead of time, people get stuck in traffic for hours and get late for their office-college. In many areas of South Delhi, people have to be two-four from traffic jams every day.
Flyover is going to be prepared in crores
Keeping this problem in mind, the Central Government has made a proposal, under this, a 20 -km long elevated corridor has been said to connect some major areas of South Delhi with Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGI) and Gurgaon.
This flyover will connect the areas around AIIMS in South Delhi to Mahipalpur in Southwest Delhi. According to the report of the Indian Express, the officials concerned said that this bypass project will be extended to Gurgaon-Faridabad Road. The signal-free elevated corridor is estimated to cost around Rs 5,000 crore.
Relief will be available from traffic jam problem
A senior official of the National Highway Authority of India (NHAI) said, “Currently, both Ring Road and Outer Ring Road are the main road, this will help people going from Noida and Ghaziabad to Delhi Airport and Gurgaon.” Both these roads will connect Noida and Faridabad through DND flyway. NH-48, heavy traffic is available on the Delhi-Gurgaon highway, so the problem of traffic jam is seen every day.
5 km long tunnel also plan
The corridor will start from AIIMS and connect Nelson Mandela Marg in Vasant Kunj via Ring Road. The central government is planning to build a 5 km long tunnel on the Nelson Mandela road, which will connect the airport and Dwarka Expressway. There is a plan to build another corridor towards Gurgaon and Faridabad Road. He further said, “The elevated corridor from AIIMS to Nadira Marg, which will further connect to Mehrauli-Gurgaon Road and Gurgaon-Faridabad Road. It will serve as a parallel corridor between Delhi and Gurgaon.
