The Olympic Games will be held in the year 2028 from July 14-30. It has already been announced that a total of 6 teams of cricket will participate in the Olympic Games. Quota of 90 players has been prepared for these 6 teams, which means 15 players will be included in the squad of each team in the Olympics. As the Olympic games come near, the schedule of the cricket tournament will be released. Talking about the city of Pomona, it was established in San 1888.
ICC Chairman Jai Shah spoke on Venue’s announcement
ICC chairman Jai Shah expressed happiness over the declaration of ground for cricket matches, saying, “We welcome the announcement of the cricket ground for 2028 Los Angeles Olympics. This is a good step from a return to cricket.” Jai Shah said that cricket is already a popular sport, while when he comes to the Olympics, it will be able to take its legacy to a bigger place. Shah believes that T20 format will definitely provide new fans to cricket.
5 new games are coming in 2028 Olympics
Apart from cricket in 2028 Olympics, four other sports are also going to return. Apart from cricket, baseball, flag football, lacross and squash are also going to return. Another good thing for cricket fans is that the top team of cricket will also be seen playing in 2032 Brisbane Olympics.
