The State Health Committee has taken a big decision to further strengthen health services in Bihar. The official notification of recruitment for a total of 220 posts of eye assistant has been issued by the committee. Reservation for different classes has been decided in this recruitment. 87 posts for general category, 22 posts for EWS, 35 posts for Scheduled Castes, 3 posts for Scheduled Tribes, 40 posts for Backward Class, 26 posts for Backward Classes and 7 posts for Women Backward Classes. The process of application for these posts will start from 14 August 2025. Interested and eligible candidates will be able to apply online till 28 August 2025 at 6 pm. eligibility requirements

For the post of eye assistant, the candidate must have the necessary educational qualification. The applicant has passed 12th standard with biology and mathematics subject from a recognized board of India. Apart from this, it is mandatory to have a two -year diploma in optometry. It will also be necessary to fulfill other eligibility.

Age limit

Talking about the age limit, the minimum age of the candidate applying should be 21 years. Maximum age for general category male candidates, maximum age for women candidates of OBC, general and EWS category 40 years, while maximum age limit for Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes has been fixed at 42 years.

How much application fee?

The application fees are Rs 500 for general, OBC and EWS candidates. This fee has been fixed at Rs 125 for the permanent residents of Bihar state who belong to Scheduled Castes or Scheduled Tribes. Similarly, fee has also been kept at Rs 125 for reserved and unreserved women candidates and disabled candidates. The application fee will have to be paid online.

This will be selected

In the selection process, candidates will have to take written examination. There will be a total of 100 multiple choice questions in this examination, for which 100 marks are scheduled. The questions will be related to general awareness, regional, numerical ability and technical qualifications. There will be no negative marking on the wrong answer in the examination, so that the candidates will be able to solve all the questions without fear.
