India’s national level hockey player Julie Yadav has died in a road accident in Lucknow. Recently, Julie was busy preparing to oversee an inter-school badminton championship. She was working as a sports teacher in LPS School located in LDA Colony. This incident happened near Mauda Mor in Para police station area.
23-year-old Julie had come to school early, but later realized that she had forgotten her phone at home. She had gone back home on her Honda Shine motorcycle to get the phone back. While returning home, a truck carrying a gas cylinder hit Julie’s bike hard. The wheel of the truck had run over Julie’s body before it stopped. The eyewitness immediately called an ambulance and got him admitted to the nearest trauma center. Doctors at the center declared him dead. It is being told that the truck driver fled from the spot.
This news shocked Julie Yadav’s family and relatives. Father Ajay Yadav and mother became inconsolable after hearing the news. Close relatives said that Julie was much loved for her helping nature and she never wished harm to anyone.
Julie had joined LPS School as a sports teacher in April this year. School Principal Rakesh Singh said that Julie was busy preparing for the badminton tournament to be held on Sunday. Students from 8 branches of LPS School were going to participate in this tournament.
Para police station will register a case on the complaint of Julie’s family. CCTV footage is being scrutinized to gather information related to the truck. Police say that efforts are on to arrest the accused as soon as possible.
