Gas Cylinder Delivery Time: Due to increasing tension in the Middle East, there is a lot of discussion recently regarding the booking of LPG cylinders in the country. Many people want to know what is the new rule and after how many days the next cylinder can be booked. In fact, at some places people started booking more cylinders than required. Due to which the pressure on supply started increasing. In view of this situation, the government has made some changes in the booking interval and delivery process.

Officials say that there is no shortage of LPG in the country. But the rules have been made a little stricter to ensure that gas reaches all the consumers properly. The time between delivery of two cylinders has been increased to 25 days and 45 days. The new rules will affect consumers in both cities and villages. Know how the rules related to cylinder booking and delivery will now work.

After how many days will you get the cylinder? 25 or 45?

The biggest change the government has made regarding gas cylinder booking is the interval between bookings. That is, after receiving one cylinder, when can the next cylinder be booked? Its time has been fixed.

Now the rules are like this:

  • Consumers living in cities will have to wait at least 25 days after getting a cylinder.
  • Next booking can be done only after completion of 25 days.
  • In rural and remote areas this time limit has been increased to 45 days.
  • This has been done so that no one can collect more cylinders than necessary.

The government says that with this the gas supply will reach all consumers equally.

Government’s answer regarding gas supply?

The government has clearly stated that there is no shortage of LPG in the country. According to officials, domestic LPG production has already been increased and if needed, arrangements are also being made from other sources.

Know these things:

  • Domestic LPG production has been increased by about 28 percent.
  • If needed, gas is also being arranged from abroad.
  • On average, after booking the cylinder, it is delivered in about 2 to 3 days.
  • The government says that there is no need to panic and make more bookings.

That means, under normal circumstances, people should not face much problem in getting gas.

Now delivery will not be available without OTP

Another change has been made to make cylinder delivery more secure and transparent. Now OTP system is being implemented at the time of delivery in most places.

The process will be like this:

  • When the delivery boy reaches your home with the cylinder, an OTP will come on your mobile.
  • This OTP will be sent to your registered mobile number.
  • Before taking the cylinder, you will have to tell this OTP to the delivery boy.
  • Without OTP the delivery will not be considered complete in the system.

The government believes that this will prevent problems like wrong delivery and fake entries.
