Three students of Bishop Cotton School, one of the oldest and prestigious boarding schools in Asia, the capital of Himachal Pradesh, have gone missing under mysterious circumstances. The news of the disappearance of three students from the school on Saturday has stirred up. These children studying in the sixth grade went to Mall Road for outing, but did not return with the rest of the children.
One of the missing students is Karnal, the other from Mohali and the third are from Kullu. The three missing students are 11 years old and study in the sixth grade. The names of the three missing children are Angad, Hitendra and Vidansh. One of them is Kullu in Himachal Pradesh, the other is a resident of Mohali in Punjab and the third is a resident of Karnal in Haryana. On Saturday, some students went out of school on the occasion of weekend.
Case of kidnapping against unknown people under Section 137B BNS
At around 12.9 in the afternoon, these three students left the school out of school, but despite the time limit of returning till 5 pm, the hostels did not return. When the school administration came to know about their absence, the New Shimla Police was immediately informed.
On the basis of the complaint, a case of kidnapping has been registered against unknown people under Section 137B BNS in police station New Shimla. Police investigation revealed that the three students were later seen on various parts of the city, especially on Mall Road. After this, no clue has been found.
CCTV footage and monitoring of city entry and exit routes intensifies
Shimla police has intensified surveillance on surrounding areas, CCTV footage and entry and exit routes of the city. Also, police of other states have been contacted to search for possible children’s potential bases. On the other hand, the families of the three students are very worried and are expecting a safe return as soon as possible.
Many types of apprehensions are being expressed due to the sudden disappearance of children. Police believe that the children may have lost their way or have gone somewhere without telling them. However, the possibility of kidnapping of children cannot be denied.
Apart from India, children from abroad also come to study
This boarding school is one of the most prestigious schools in the country, where children from abroad also come to study. This school was established in 1859 and children of many well-known industrialists and reputed families of India and abroad have studied here. Currently, most students come here to study from outside states. The disappearance of students from such a big school in this way is raising many questions.
