The police investigation has reached an important juncture in the case of alleged suicide of 3 people in Peeragarhi area of Delhi. In this case, Delhi Police has identified the person who was present in the car at the time of the incident, in which the bodies of two men and a woman were found. According to the police, in the CCTV footage, a person dressed as ‘Baba’ is seen sitting in the car, which is being considered an important link in the investigation. Let us tell you that this incident came to light on February 8 near Peeragarhi flyover, where all three were found dead in a closed car.
Presence of ‘Baba’ revealed through CCTV footage
According to police officials, during the investigation of CCTV cameras installed in the area, it was found that a person was in contact with the three deceased before the incident and was also sitting inside the car. This person is now at the center of investigation, whom the police is identifying as ‘Baba’. According to PTI, police are trying to find out what was the role of this person and why and how he met the three on the day of the incident. However, the police say that the exact cause of death can be confirmed only after the forensic and post-mortem reports are received. At present the investigation of the case is going on from all aspects.
PCR call and incident situation
According to Delhi Police, the police control room received a call around 3.50 pm on Sunday, in which it was informed that three people were sitting in a car near Peeragarhi flyover, the doors were closed and there was no response from inside. As soon as the information was received, the police team reached the spot, where two men and a woman were found dead inside the car. Investigation revealed that the car was standing at the spot about 50 minutes before the police were informed. Initial investigation did not reveal any indication of any external conflict, due to which there is a strong suspicion of suicide.
Identification of the dead and claims of the family
Police have identified the deceased as Randhir, 76, resident of Baprola, Shiv Naresh Singh, 47, and Lakshmi Devi, 40, resident of Jahangirpuri, who are said to be originally from Bihar. Based on initial indications, it is suspected that all three may have consumed soft drinks laced with poison. The relatives of the deceased say that while leaving the house, all three were completely normal and happy and there was no mention of any kind of tension or problem. The family is shocked by this incident and is raising questions on the theory of suicide.
