Born in Junagarh, Gujarat, 4 brothers played cricket for the Pakistan cricket team. Among these four brothers, Hanif Mohammed, who is known as Little Master, is also a cricketer, his son and grandson. He is also called the first star player of Pakistan. After 17 years, the Indian team went to Pakistan, then reached the hotel with the Gavaskar team and went to Hanif Mohammed’s house with the Gavaskar team. He had said that he wanted to meet the real ‘Little Master’. He had said that of course he had not seen Hanif playing but he was impressed by his batting stories.

Hanif Mohammad was a total of 6 brothers, one of whom had died at a young age. When the country was divided, the Nawab of Junagadh decided to go to Pakistan and Hanif’s family also went. This family, who reached Karachi, took shelter in a temple for a long time and then gradually the situation of this family was cured. Then when Hanif and his brother came into cricket, their family became famous all over Pakistan.
Father was also a good cricketer
Not only Hanif and his brother but his father was also a club cricketer. He wanted his son to become a cricketer, although his father died in 1948. After this his sons fulfilled his dream and 4 brothers played in the national team for Pakistan.
It happened at least 64 times when two brothers played together in the team. Wazir and Hanif played 18 Test matches together, while Hanif played 19 Tests together with Mushtaq. These brothers studying in Alfred High School were fond of cricket since childhood. All were the star players of their school. 4 out of 5 brothers played for the Pakistan cricket team while one brother (Raees Mohammed) could not make his debut in international, he only played first class cricket.

Mother was a badminton champion in India
The credit for making all the brothers successful in cricket also goes to his mother Amir B, who helped to continue the cricket career of sons after losing her husband. His mother was the National Badminton Champion in India and a table tennis player at the regional level.
Longest innings record in Test matches
Hanif Mohammad holds the record for the longest innings in Test matches. He scored a historic innings of 337 runs against the West Indies in Brijtown in 1958, this innings lasted for 970 minutes. This innings became immortal because it became the longest innings of Test cricket.
Record of four brothers playing international for Pakistan
Hanef mohammad: Hanif Mohammed scored 3915 runs in 55 Tests for Pakistan. This includes 12 centuries and 15 half -century innings. Apart from this, he played 238 first class matches.
Mushtaq mohammad: Mushtaq Mohammed played 57 Tests and 10 ODIs for Pakistan, in which he scored 3643 and 209 runs respectively. He has scored 10 centuries and 19 half -centuries in the Test. He has also taken 79 wickets in the Test.
Sadiq mohammad: Sadiq Mohammed played 41 Tests and 19 international ODIs. In this, he has 2579 and 383 runs. Sadiq has scored 5 centuries and 10 half -centuries in the Test.
Wazir mohammad: Wazir Mohammed scored 801 runs in 20 Tests for Pakistan, including 2 centuries and 3 half -centuries.
Hanif Mohammed’s son also played cricket for Pakistan
Hanif Mohammed’s son’s name is Shoaib Mohammad, he made his debut for Pakistan in 1983. Shoaib played 45 Tests and 63 ODIs for Pakistan, scoring 2705 and 1269 runs respectively.
Cricketer is also a grandson
Hanif Mohammad, known as the first star for Pakistan cricket, is also a cricketer. His grandson’s name is Shehzar Mohammad, whose age is 33 years. However, he has not been able to debut in international cricket. Shehjar has played 45 first class matches. He played his last match in November 2022.
