Police raided the Kashimira police station area adjacent to Mumbai and busted the prostitution racket. In this action, 41 -year -old actress Anushka Moni Mohan Das has been arrested for allegedly running prostitution and pushing ambitious women artists into this illegal business. An official gave this information on Friday. Police have also freed two TV serials and women actors who have worked in Bengali films during this period.
Police arrested the accused by laying a trap
Officials informed that on the basis of secret information, the police had prepared two fake customers (decoys). The accused called the customers to a mall in Kashimira near the Mumbai -Ahmedabad highway. After this, the police, laying a trap, caught the accused while taking red money and immediately took it into custody.
Two female artists were made free
Meera-Bhayander, Assistant Police Commissioner of Vasai-Virar Police Madan Ballal said, “The two women artists who have been freed by the police have acted in TV serials and Bengali films.” Both have been sent to the shelter home. At present, the police is investigating the case.
Actress Anushka Moni Mohan Das arrested
The arrested actress is named Anushka Moni Mohan Das (age 41 years). In this case, a case has been registered under Section 370 (3) (Human trafficking) and immoral trade (PITA) of the Indian Penal Code. Police said that other people, brokers and networks behind this racket are being investigated.
Racket was running for high profile custom
According to police officials, “The racket was being run for high-profile customers. The accused actress was playing the role of middleman … he was arrested and produced in court and sent to judicial custody.”
