ATS and NIA engaged in the investigation of Delhi blast have got great success. Now many layers of the ‘white collar’ terrorist network which the investigating agencies had started investigating have started being revealed. Deep contacts have been revealed between Dr. Shaheen Saeed, Dr. Arif and Dr. Muzammil who were caught in the case.
According to sources, forensic investigation has found 39 voice calls, 43 WhatsApp calls and more than 200 messages between the three. This clearly indicates that all three were in contact for a long time and were continuously talking after planning the blast. The agencies have also recovered 25 deleted messages, which are likely to contain important secrets related to the depth of the conspiracy.
Arif was preparing to run away
Agencies found packed bags, clothes and essential items from the room of Dr. Arif, who was arrested from his flat in Ashok Nagar, Kanpur. It is clear that he was about to leave the city before his arrest. Sources say that as soon as Arif got the news of the arrest of Dr. Shaheen in Faridabad, he started preparing to run away, anticipating that his turn would come. Security agencies caught him in time.
During the search, the agencies found two iPhones and a keypad phone from Arif. He had purchased the new iPhone on October 27 itself. Investigation revealed that he had bought a new phone to avoid old contacts and digital tracking. Many suspicious files have also been found from the laptop, which may include documents, maps and chat logs. Their technical investigation is underway.
Network’s roots reach Chamanganj and Bekanganj
Intelligence agencies are now also investigating Chamanganj and Bekanganj areas of Kanpur. According to sources, Shaheen’s brother Dr. Parvez and his relatives have a strong hold in these areas. It is known that these people were active in religious events, where a large number of outsiders also participated. Now the agencies are also identifying these outsiders and checking their background.
It is a matter of concern that educated doctors are involved in terrorism.
This matter is even more serious because educated professionals like doctors are involved in it. Security agencies say that this is a white collar terror module, which hatches a big conspiracy under the guise of normal looking people. IMA has terminated the membership of terrorist Dr Shaheen. At the same time, Shaheen Saeed’s name has been removed from the stone slab of GSVM Medical College, Kanpur by putting a white stripe.
Scrutiny of documents of 2000 medical students
The investigating agencies have so far scrutinized the documents of more than 2000 medical students to find out who else could be involved in the network. ATS and investigating agencies are continuously interrogating Dr. Arif. The focus is on funding, foreign links, training and extracting information about other members of the network. Officials say that this module could have become a new challenge of terrorism in North India, but a large part of it was caught in time.
