Tahir took 5 wickets for just 21 runs in 4 overs in the match against Antiga and Barbuda Feelakans on Saturday. During this, Tahir created history. Tahir has become the oldest captain to take 5 wickets hall in the history of T20 cricket.

Tahir did this feat at the age of 46 years and 148 days. During this, Tahir broke the record of Malawi captain Mozzam Ali Bag, who took five wickets against Cameroon in September 2024 at the age of 39.

Gayana won easily with Tahir’s brilliant bowling

The match took place on Saturday between Gayana Amazan Warriors and Antiga and Barbuda Feelakans. Warriors batted first in this match. Warriors scored 211 runs in 54 balls of Shaya Hope and 65 runs in Shimron Hetmyer’s 26 balls.

Chasing the target of 212 runs, the team of Feelakans had no response to Tahir’s sharp bowling. Tahir, with his bowling, consolidated the spreading team for just 128 runs. Gayana’s team won the match by 83 runs.
