Canada News: Canadian police has arrested a Punjabi man for raping girls on the pretext of job. This person used to be the owner or recruiter of a fake company. Then he used to advertise easy jobs on platforms like Kijiji, Canada’s popular classified portal, in which only girls were targeted.
When girls came to meet him, he used to take them to isolated places and force them. These misdeeds of 47 year old Tajinder Dhaliwal came to light when two girls went to the police. One girl even said that Tajinder asked her to have physical relations with him in exchange for a job.
He made many girls his victims. For this reason, when the police arrested him on January 26, his photo was also released, so that any other girl who might have fallen into his trap could tell the police about it.
Used to advertise jobs on online website
Brampton Police said that the accused Tajinder Dhaliwal was very clever. Investigation by Halton Regional Police revealed that Tajinder Dhaliwal was acting like a professional criminal to avoid being caught by the police. He used to advertise for data entry operator on online classified website. In these advertisements, girls were demanded who could do data entry. Therefore there was no qualification of any kind. Freshers were deceived for jobs.
Made me sit in a taxi on the pretext of interview
Brampton Police said that Tajinder Dhaliwal had given the number to contact. As soon as a call came on his number, he would give the address to the girl and call her. Then, on the pretext of an interview, he would make her sit in his taxi and take her to a deserted place. According to the complaints of the girls, when they reached a deserted area, Tajinder would stop the taxi and pressure them to have physical relations in the name of job.
The accused used to take girls to isolated places
According to Canadian Police, Tajinder used to take girls to remote and isolated industrial parking areas of Milton and Halton Hills on the pretext of interviews. It is recorded in the police report that Tajinder would take the girls to such places where it would be very difficult for them to ask for help from anyone. Areas like Milton and Halton Hills were chosen so that even if the girls screamed, no one could come for help.
The ordeal of 2 girls revealed
In this regard, two girls lodged a complaint with Halton police. In the police report, a girl told that when she called on the ad given by Tajinder, he called her to a place. Then he picked him up and took him to a deserted place. Here she was forced.
‘Make a relationship otherwise you will not get a job’
The second girl told that in December 2025 she called for a job. On this, Tajinder took him in the taxi on the pretext of showing him the job site. He took him to an industrial site several kilometers away from Brampton city. Stopped the car at a deserted place on a mountain road. When Tajinder was asked the reason, he said, “Make a relationship with me, otherwise you will not get a job.” She was surprised to hear this. Tajinder forced himself on her here.
Got bail 24 hours after arrest
Brampton Police said that after a long investigation and gathering clues, on January 26, 2026, the police arrested Tajinder Dhaliwal from Brampton. Sections like rape and demanding sexual services in exchange for job were imposed on him. Due to weak rape laws in Canada, Tajinder got bail immediately after the court hearing on January 27.
