There was a big explosion in Kabul, the capital of Afghanistan, around 4:38 pm Indian time on Wednesday (October 15, 2025), after which a cloud of fire and smoke rose everywhere. This blast took place in Khairkhana Kotal area of Kabul. Just after the pictures of the blast surfaced, Afghan government spokesperson Zabiullah Mujahid informed at 4:53 pm that the blast in Kabul has nothing to do with the Pakistan-Afghanistan war and the blast was caused by a blast in an oil tanker parked on the road.
Pakistani army released aerial video
After the explosion, there was fire and smoke everywhere, after which the entire area was cordoned off and fire brigade vehicles were deployed, which brought the fire under control. After which the burnt oil tanker was also clearly visible.
Pakistan made claim regarding the blast
After this, the Pakistani Army released an aerial video at 7 pm and claimed that the blast in Kabul was caused by its air strike, in which it had targeted the Tehreek-e-Taliban hideout.
Pakistani army carried out air attack on Kabul- Abdullah
Just after the Pakistani Army released the video, Mufti Abdullah Azam, head of the office of Afghanistan’s Deputy Prime Minister Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar, shared a video on Twitter and claimed that the air strike carried out by the Pakistani Army on Kabul was on a group of local people, in which many civilians have been killed and Pakistan is taking its revenge from the common people. However, within just a few hours Abdullah Azam deleted his post on the X site.
17 innocent people killed so far in Pakistani attack, more than 140 injured
However, Afghan media has confirmed the Kabul attack and informed that Pakistan had carried out air strikes at two places in Kabul when both the countries were negotiating ceasefire.
According to the statement issued by the Emergency Hospital on the Pakistan attack, 5 people have died in the Kabul attack and more than 40 people are injured. Apart from Kabul, today Pakistan also attacked residential areas in Khost and Kandahar of Afghanistan, in which 12 civilians died and more than 100 civilians were injured. This means that in the last 24 hours, 17 innocent people have lost their lives and more than 140 have been injured due to attacks in residential areas of Pakistan.
Pakistan’s old habit of targeting common people
In the ongoing conflict between Pakistan and Afghanistan, where in the first phase of the conflict on Saturday (October 11, 2025), Pakistan had targeted the homes and markets of common people, today on Wednesday (October 15) Pakistan did something similar, whereas on the contrary, the Afghan Army has targeted only the Pakistani Army in the conflict.
However, this is not the first time that Pakistan is targeting human settlements in a conflict. Pakistan had also done similar actions during Operation Sindoor, when India attacked its airbases, in response the Pakistani Army targeted Indian residential areas. In the last 50 days, Pakistani Army and other security agencies have killed more than 329 people in their own country.
