Philip Hughes’s death is one of the saddest events in cricket history. With this ball on the head, he had ‘sub-arcnoid hemorrhage’. He fainted on the field itself and died in the hospital three days later. After the death of Hughes, there was a big change on the design of the helmet in cricket.
Raman Lamba- India
Indian batsman Raman Lamba was playing a league match in Dhaka in 1998. He was fielding without a helmet on the short leg. The batsman played a loud shot and the ball went straight to his head. Initially, Lamba described himself as well, but later his condition deteriorated due to deep injury in the mind. He had brain haemorrhage and died in a few hours.
Woman Contractor- India
Former India captain Nari Contractor was batting in the match against Barbados on the 1961-62 tour of West Indies.
