NSE F&O Stocks List: The National Stock Exchange of India (NSE) has announced the inclusion of a total of six stocks in the Future and Options (F&O) segment from April 1, 2026. These include stocks like Adani Power, Cochin Shipyard, Hyundai Motor India, Motilal Oswal Financial Services, Nippon Life India Asset Management and Vishal Mega Mart.

The exchange further said that the contracts of all six stocks will become available for trading upon meeting the eligibility conditions under the Quarter Sigma Computation Cycle for March 2026. This step is in accordance with the stock selection criteria set by market regulator Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI).

Lot and strike price information

NSE has said that on March 30, 2026, members will be informed about the market lot and strike price through a separate circular.

Why Are shares added to F&O segment?

The purpose of adding shares in the F&O segment is to increase trading volume and maturity. When a stock falls in this segment, big institutions like mutual funds and foreign investors do more trading on it. This makes buying and selling shares easier. Trading in F&O helps investors find out the true value of shares because here both buyers and sellers are betting on future expectations. In the cash market, profit cannot be made if the shares fall, but in the F&O segment, you have the option to sell the shares first or buy them when they fall and earn profits.
