On the occasion of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s birthday, the Rekha Gupta government of Delhi is going to start an important scheme. September 17 is PM Modi’s birthday. The Delhi government announced on Tuesday (September 16) that those who take care of the disabled people will be given a monthly assistance of Rs 6000 every month. CM Rekha Gupta said that the eligible disabled people will get 6000 rupees every month to meet the cost of care, medical and other essential services.

Amit Shah will start the scheme- CM

CM Rekha Gupta said that on Wednesday, Union Home Minister Amit Shah will start this scheme on the occasion of PM Modi’s birthday. He said that this financial assistance will be sent directly to the link account from the Aadhaar of the beneficiaries. According to the CM, the plan was approved in the Delhi cabinet meeting. He said that Divyang people are integral parts of our society and they have the right to live with respect and self -reliance. He said that this scheme will ensure that the disabled and his family do not feel neglected and helpless.

Who will be eligible for this scheme?

According to a statement, if they get the benefit of this scheme, at least 40 per cent is disabled and they have been described by the District Board as certified between 60 to 100 marks. With this, the applicant should be a resident of Delhi for at least five years and the annual income of the family should not be more than Rs 1 lakh. Aadhaar verification is mandatory for the benefit of this scheme.

What is the method of application?

Register can be made by registering through the E-DISTRICT portal. The application will be processed by the District Social Welfare Officer and will be verified by the Assessment Board. CM said that this scheme is not only financial aid but also to enable more social participation and self -reliance of the disabled.
