Richa Ghosh, who played a stormy innings of 94 runs against South Africa in the Women’s World Cup 2025, is in the headlines. This fighting innings has made him the new star of Team India. His innings came at a time when Team India had lost 6 wickets for 102 runs. He scored 94 runs in 77 balls at a stormy strike rate of 122. In this innings he hit 11 fours and 4 sixes. 22-year-old wicketkeeper batsman Richa Ghosh made her debut for Team India in 2020. Till now, she has played more than 60 matches for Team India at the international level. Actually, she plays for RCB in the Women’s Premier League (WPL).

Special connection with RCB

Richa Ghosh plays for RCB in the Women’s Premier League. In the 2023 season, RCB bought him in the auction by paying a huge amount of Rs 1.90 crore. She has been playing for the Royal Challengers Bangalore team since 2023 and has so far scored 625 runs in 26 matches in her WPL career. Her average in WPL is 34.72 and she has also scored 4 fifties.

Royal Challengers Bangalore became the champion in the final of WPL 2024, after defeating Delhi Capitals by 8 wickets in the final. In that final match, Richa Ghosh had scored 17 runs in 14 balls. He did not play any big innings, but he was the one who hit the winning shot for RCB in the form of a four.

If we look at Richa Ghosh’s international career, till now she has scored 947 runs in 45 ODI matches. He has 1067 runs in his name in 67 T20 matches. He has scored 10 half-centuries in his international career so far, but he does not have a single century in his name yet.
