Rajasthan beat Karnataka by 1 run

Batting first, Rajasthan had scored 201 runs for five wickets, in response to which, despite presenting a tough challenge, Karnataka team could only score 200 runs for eight wickets.
While chasing the target, Karnataka lost the wickets of captain Mayank Agarwal and KL Srijit in the beginning, due to which the team’s score was 19 runs for two wickets. With the wicket of Devdutt Padikkal (32), the team lost three wickets for 51 runs.
Karun Nair (51 runs in 32 balls) and R Smaran (48 not out in 31 balls) managed the innings with a partnership of 82 runs. Both of them took the team’s score to 133 runs for three wickets in 14.5 overs, but after this the team lost the wickets of Karun, Abhinav Manohar, Shreyas Gopal and Praveen Dubey in quick succession, due to which its score became 155 runs for seven wickets in 17.3 overs.
Smaran failed to score fast runs in the last overs. Vidyadhar Patil gave hope to the team by scoring 27 runs in eight balls with three sixes and two fours, but Kamlesh Nagarkoti (three wickets for 52 runs) sent him to the pavilion.
Karnataka needed 15 runs in the last over but despite Vijaykumar Vaishakh’s six and Smaran’s four, the team lost by one run. Rajasthan had earlier scored more than 200 runs thanks to the innings of Deepak Hooda (43), Karthik Sharma (46) and Mahipal Lomror (48 not out).
