85 year old man crossed the borders of three countries while driving a car!
Last week, an 85-year-old grandfather living in Chatillon-sur-Thouet, a small village in France, went out with his car. His doctor was just 12 miles away at a place called Airvault. Usually this journey was only half an hour. But grandfather thought of installing GPS so that the route could be found easily. But the real story starts from here. The GPS showed Grandpa the wrong direction. Grandfather felt that this route was only going to the doctor, so he continued driving his car. Keep driving. And keep driving. Paths kept changing, roads kept changing, boards kept changing. But grandfather felt that everything was fine. He drove for hours. Then several more hours. And without stopping, we reached France, then Italy and then Croatia in 20 hours. Even grandfather himself did not understand that he had traveled so much in Europe.
The family members got worried, army and police devoted their lives to search.
On the other hand, this old man did not return home. Didn’t even reach the doctor. And he did not even come to the meeting where he always used to go. His family started worrying. He inquired around. Neighbors said that grandfather had left in the morning but did not return. After this the police was informed. But finding grandfather was not easy. Then the army tracked his mobile phone. According to reports, grandfather is not suffering from any illness or memory problem. Only this time due to a GPS mistake his “Great European Journey” became a reality. The family has set out to bring them. And grandfather will now have many interesting stories to tell when he reaches home.
