On 16 January 2025, the Central Government approved the formation of the 8th Pay Commission (8th Pay Commission) and along with this, the expectations of millions of employees and pensioners were also available. The 8th Pay Commission can be applicable from the year 2026, because the 7th Pay Commission is ending this year. Based on the recommendations of this new commission, there will be extensive changes in the salary, allowances and pension of the employees.

The most discussed IAS and IPS officers, because the salary of these officers coming in Level-10 will see a tremendous increase. Currently, the salary of Level-10 (IAS/IPS) officers is Rs 56,100, which can increase to about Rs 1,60,446 after the 8th Pay Commission.
Even before this, even when the 7th Pay Commission was implemented, the employees were also very relieved and in view of inflation, the salary was increased well. Now once again it is expected that the government will work rapidly towards implementing the 8th Pay Commission quickly.
From peon to top officer will benefit
According to the reports, this Pay Commission will bring relief not only for the big officers, but also for the peon, clerk, junior assistant, teacher, police personnel, railway employees and employees working in other departments. Their basic salary can also increase by 2 to 3 times. This will not only strengthen their economic condition. Rather, the speed of shopping in the market will also increase, which will also benefit the country’s economy.
Changes in dearness allowance and pension also
The 8th Pay Commission will recommend a change in not only salary but also dearness allowance (DA), HRA and pension. Especially pensioners will also get its benefit, which will make the life after retirement easier.
