9 hours of work, night studies and strong courage, this is how Srishti Dabas cracked UPSC exam

Only those dreams come true which have strong intentions and continuous hard work behind them. When someone is determined to achieve something, then even the difficulties on the way cannot break his courage. One such example is Srishti Dabas, who not only fulfilled her dream of becoming an IAS by passing a tough exam like UPSC along with a job, but also inspired everyone by securing sixth rank in the entire country.

The story of Delhi resident Srishti Dabas is not ordinary, but full of struggle and self-confidence. The circumstances in his life were not easy. The shadow of his father had already passed and all the responsibilities of the house were on his mother’s shoulders. Srishti, who closely observed her mother’s hard work and struggle, had a desire to do something big from a long time ago. She wanted to make her mother feel proud and this feeling became her biggest strength.

UPSC dream continued with job

Srishti Dabas started preparing for UPSC at a time when she was working in the Reserve Bank of India i.e. RBI. It is not easy to study after working for 8 to 9 hours every day, but Srishti did not give up. Office responsibilities during the day and spending long hours with books at night had become a part of his daily routine.

At times, fatigue prevailed, but his dream of becoming an IAS kept him moving forward. She did not sit idle in the office even during lunch break. She used this little time for studies. It had become his habit to go to the office library and read books, make notes and look at old questions. Even on holidays, she remained busy in studies instead of resting.

How was your education journey?

Srishti Dabas studied from Delhi only. After completing 12th, he did graduation in Political Science from Indira Trust College, Delhi. During his studies, he started taking keen interest in subjects related to society, administration and policy. For further studies he obtained a master’s degree from IGNOU.

After completing her studies, Srishti got selected in the Reserve Bank of India. This was a big achievement in itself, but his mind did not stop here. His dream was to serve the country and fulfill administrative responsibilities. For this reason, along with the job, he started preparing for the UPSC Civil Services Examination.

great success in the first attempt

UPSC exam is counted among the toughest exams in the country. Most of the candidates have to make many years and many efforts to achieve success in this. But Srishti Dabas passed this exam in the very first attempt. Not only this, he registered his name in the list of toppers by securing All India Rank 6.
