Know here what the whole story is.
Fans expressed displeasure over AI music video of ‘Koi Fariyad’
Jagjit Singh is counted in the list of iconic singers of the industry. ‘Koi Fariyad’ is also counted in the list of the most hit songs of his career. This song from the film Tum Bin had made its place in the hearts of the fans and even today people’s emotions are attached to this song. But now T-Series released the AI music video of this soulful song, after which there is resentment among the fans.
In this music video, Jagjit Singh’s voice and lyrics of the song were kept exactly the same but AI was used in the visuals of this music video, which has hurt the fans a lot. Made under the banner of Cyberpunk Studios, this AI music video was directed by Shreya Mehrotra and Gaurav Dasgupta. But fans did not like the AI fiction of ‘Koi Fariyad’ at all.
How is the reaction of netizens?
After watching this AI generated music video, netizens immediately expressed their displeasure. Commenting on Reddit, a user wrote, ‘This song has so much emotion but if you go to watch this AI video, it is completely soulless’. While commenting, another user expressed that ‘sad song has been turned into a comedy song’. Most of the people say that AI can never replace the actors of this film, Priyanshu and Sandali Singha. The way these two artists expressed the emotions of ‘Koi Fariyad’ in their eyes is not at all possible through AI music videos. Looking at the reaction of netizens, it seems that T-Series’ experiment with Cyberpunk Studios has failed.
‘Koi Fariyad’ is the most important part of the film
Hindustan Times, quoting Filmfare, said that ‘Tum Bin’ director Anubhav Singha had said that ‘Koi Fariyad’ has an important part in the film. Anubhav Singha told that the writer of this song Faiz Anwar is not a lyricist but a poet. But when the director asked him to write a ghazal for the film, Faiz recited a couplet based on his experience. When the filmmaker liked that couplet, Faiz Anwar composed ‘Koi Fariyad’.
