In the first ODI being played in New Zealand, the England team would have been bundled out for 25 runs if Harry Brook and Jamie Overton had not managed the England innings. The remaining 9 batsmen of England together scored 25 runs. Ben Duckett, Joe Root and Jacob Bethel could score only 2-2 runs. Jos Buttler was out after scoring 4 runs and Sam Curran was out after scoring 6 runs. In the end Adil Rashid scored 4 runs and Luke Wood scored 5 runs. Jamie Smith and Braydon Carse were out without opening the account.
New Zealand’s strong bowling
