Keeping this concern in mind, Election Commission of India also started the facility of VVPAT along with EVM. Through VVPAT, when a voter votes for a candidate, the machine displays a slip identifying that candidate. This slip is not given to the voter nor is the voter’s identity written in it. Its purpose is to ensure that every vote goes to the right candidate.
What does VVPAT work?
In disputed circumstances, votes can be accurately counted using VVPAT. This process becomes even more important in Bihar elections, because due to the huge number of voters and many candidates here, both the order of voting and security become important issues. EVMs and VVPAT have played an important role in making the Indian election process modern, fast and secure. With the help of these technologies, every vote will be counted correctly in Bihar Assembly elections 2025 and voters will be able to vote safely for their favorite candidate.
