The 5G service is now available at the Cricket Stadium in Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Chandigarh, Chennai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Kolkata, Lucknow, Mumbai and Visakhapatnam. The company has said that the move aims to provide better connectivity for the audience watching the match. In these cricket, VI has improved infrastructure to provide a large amount of internet for estimated users. It has an additional 5G network site and also includes integration of technology like BTS and Massive MIMO. According to the company, these changes have been designed to provide constant and high speed connectivity inside the stadium.
Vodafone Idea has installed 53 new 5G sites, 44 existing sites and install the 9 cell on wheels unit around the stadium. Vodafone Idea customers using 5G support devices can get 5G network facility inside these stadiums by turning on 5G settings on their mobile phones.
In India, the 5G of Vodafone Idea in the stadium in India is now operational, among them Wankhede Stadium (Mumbai), Arun Jaitley Stadium (Delhi), Chinnaswamy Stadium (Bengaluru), Dr. Y.S.R. The ACA-VDCA Stadium (Visakhapatnam), Eden Gardens (Kolkata), Ekana Stadium (Lucknow), M.A.Chidambaram Stadium (Chennai), Maharaja Yadavindra Singh Cricket Stadium (Mullanpur, Chandigarh), Namo Stadium (Ahmedabad), Rajiv Gandhi Stadium (Handbad) and Sawai Mansingh Stadium (Jaipur).
The customers are offering Vodafone Idea Recharge Pack for those who are unable to go to the cricket stadium and include unlimited data as well as subscription of Jio Hotstar. These packs start from Rs 101 and customers can recharge them through the VI app or company website.
