Stock Market Today: The third trading session of the week in the Indian stock market on Wednesday, October 29, started the trading day flat. Both the major indices opened trading in the green. The 30-share BSE Sensex index started the trading day at 84,663.68, up 35.52 points or 0.04 per cent. At the same time, NSE Nifty 50 also opened trading with a green mark at 25,982.00 with a rise of 45.80 points or 0.18 percent.
By 9:22 pm, the Sensex was trading at 84,725, up 96 points. Whereas Nifty 50 was trading at 25,971 with a gain of 34 points.

How was the market on Tuesday?
The second trading session of the week, on Tuesday, October 28, saw a decline in the Indian stock market and both the major indices closed trading in the red. The Sensex ended the trading day at 84,628.16 points, down 150.68 points or 0.18 percent, while the NSE Nifty 50 ended the trading day at 25,936.20, down 29.85 points or 0.11 percent.
Tata Steel, SBIN, Kotak Bank, Bharti Airtel and Eternal were the top gainers from the BSE basket. Talking about the top losers, Trent, Bajaj Finance Services, Tech Mahindra, ICICI Bank, Mahindra & Mahindra were. Nifty 100, Nifty Midcap, Nifty Auto, Nifty FMCG, Nifty IT closed on the red mark while Nifty Smallcap, Nifty Bank closed on the green mark. On Tuesday’s trading day, 9 shares from BSE basket closed in the green and 21 shares recorded a decline.
