According to astrology, when an inauspicious constellation is formed then ‘Panchak’ is formed. Generally this is considered a time that gives inauspicious results. Let us know when and how Panchak is celebrated. Also know the types of Panchak.
When the Moon transits over Ghanishtha, Shatabhisha, Purva Bhadrapada, Uttara Bhadrapada and Revati Nakshatra, it is called Panchak Kaal. Panchak is also observed when Moon transits in Aquarius and Pisces.
Talking about the types of Panchak, there are many types of them like – Rog Panchak, Mrityu Panchak, Agni Panchak, Raj Panchak and Chor Panchak. When Panchak starts from Friday then it is called ‘Chor Panchak’.
Panchak is being observed from Friday, 31st October. Therefore it will be called Chor Panchak. Chor Panchak will run from 31 October to 4 November 2025. Therefore, avoid doing some work during this period.
One should avoid money transactions during the five days of Chor Panchak. It is believed that financial transactions done during this period cause financial loss. Also avoid traveling towards the south.
During the time of Chor Panchak, one should not do things like starting a new business, making big investments, business deals etc. It is believed that work done at this time rarely brings auspicious results.
It is considered inauspicious to do things like marriage, engagement, upanayana, purchase of new clothes or jewellery, investment etc. during Chor Panchak.
