After taking bath in the morning, wear clean clothes. Now clean the pot of the basil plant. Then decorate the pot with ocher and keep it on the pedestal. Establish Shaligram at another post. Now prepare a beautiful mandap with sugarcane, banana leaves and flowers. Fill the Kalash with water and place five mango leaves on it. Light a ghee lamp. Dress Tulsi in a new saree and red chunari, offer wedding paraphernalia, apply vermillion and make up well. After this, take Lord Shaligram in your hand and circumambulate it with Tulsi 7 times. This method is done in 7 rounds. At last perform Aarti. In this way the marriage of Tulsi and Lord Shaligram is done.
