Astra Microwave Products Ltd: Defense and telecom equipment provider Astra Microwave Products Ltd said on Friday that its joint venture company Astra Rafael Comsys Pvt Ltd has received an order worth Rs 285.56 crore from the Defense Ministry.
Under this contract, communication systems and many other supporting accessories will be purchased for the Indian Air Force (IAF). The company has to complete this order within 11 months. The company currently has orders worth Rs 2,303 crore and the standalone order book is Rs 1,951 crore.
45 percent revenue comes from radar system
Astra Microwave manufactures defense related products. About 45 percent of its revenue is generated from radar systems. Astra Microwave Products Limited is targeting to achieve a revenue of Rs 1,200-1,300 crore for the business year 2025-26 (FY26). Indian defense companies are also benefiting from the increasing expenditure on defense across the world. Along with government, many private defense companies are also earning profits. Goldman Sachs has said in its report that India is also increasing expenditure on defence. Even though investors are taking more interest in government defense companies, good growth prospects are visible in private defense companies.
Status of company’s shares
In the last six months, shares of Astra Microwave Products Limited have gained more than 32 percent. At the same time, the stock has increased by more than 124 percent in the last one year. In the last 8 years, the stock has given returns of up to 872 percent. This company with a market cap of Rs 9901.81 crore has a 52-week high level of Rs 1105.65 and a 52-week low level of Rs 584.20.
In the same sequence, another defense company Zen Technologies Ltd has also received two orders for anti-drone system upgrade from the Defense Ministry. The order value is Rs 289 crore. These orders are to be completed within a year.
