Actors Jimmy Shergill and Siddharth are soon ready to entertain the audience with their new series ‘Operation Safed Sagar’. There is tremendous enthusiasm among the fans regarding this series.
The makers released its first look on Sunday, November 2 during the Sekhon Indian Air Force Marathon 2025 (SIM-25) held in Delhi. As soon as its video was shared on social media, fans expressed excitement in the comment section praising the strong looks of Jimmy and Siddharth.
First look release of the series
On Sunday, Netflix shared the first look video of ‘Operation Safed Sagar’ on its Instagram and YouTube accounts. The video starts with Siddharth’s dialogue, “Such a mission has never happened in the history of the Indian Air Force. We are the chosen few.” After this, Squadron Leaders Siddharth and Jimmy Shergill are shown moving towards the aircraft along with their colleagues Abhay Verma, Mihir Ahuja and Taruk Raina.
In the video, Jimmy Shergill is seen briefing his team and saying, “Pakistanis think that they can do anything sitting on top, but they are wrong. Now either we will make history or become a part of it.”
While sharing the video, Netflix wrote, “The story of the world’s highest air operation. The biggest honour. Watch Operation Safed Sagar, coming soon only on Netflix.” The release date of the show has not been revealed yet.
Fans’ excitement
After watching the first look video, fans could not hide their excitement. One user commented, “What a wonderful start to Sunday.” Another wrote, “The bigger this series is, the more powerful it is going to be.” Another fan said, “Abhay, Siddharth and Jimmy… what an amazing starcast.” While one user described it as “epic”.
About ‘Operation Safed Sagar’
The series Operation Safed Sagar recreates the vital role of the Indian Air Force during the Kargil War. It has been produced by Abhijeet Singh Parmar and Kushal Srivastava, while it has been directed by Oni Sen. Actors like Siddharth, Jimmy Shergill, Abhay Verma, Mihir Ahuja, Taruk Raina and Arnav Bhasin will be seen in lead roles in the show.
Made under the banner of Matchbox Shots and Feel Good Films, this series has been produced in collaboration with the Indian Air Force. The story is based on that part of the Kargil war, about which very few people know. It shows how the brave pilots of the Air Force go beyond their limits and carry out a dangerous mission to protect the country.
This series has been shot at a real Air Force base, where MiG aircraft and real IAF personnel have also been included. Operation Safed Sagar is scheduled to release on Netflix in 2026.
