A case of violation of model code of conduct has come to light during a road show organized in Mokama assembly constituency on Monday (November 03, 2025) regarding Bihar Assembly elections (2025). Taking action in this regard, Patna Police has registered a case against the organizers of the program.
According to information received from Patna Police, Union Minister Lalan Singh and Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary had conducted a road show in Mokama in support of JDU candidate Anant Singh. During this period, more vehicles were used in the campaign than allowed, which was considered a violation of the model code of conduct set by the Election Commission.
Police administration is continuously monitoring
Issuing an official statement, Patna Police said that the police administration is continuously monitoring to ensure adherence to the code of conduct during the assembly elections 2025. In this series, during the election campaign in Mokama assembly constituency on Monday, when more than the prescribed number of vehicles were found being used, the concerned vehicles were stopped and checked. A case has been registered for violating the model code of conduct by leaving the vehicles as per permission.
Anant Singh was arrested on the night of 1 November
Let us tell you, JDU candidate from Mokama Anant Singh is in Beur jail of Patna in the murder case of Dularchand Yadav. He was arrested late on the night of November 1. In such a situation, in the absence of Anant Singh, Union Minister Lalan Singh has taken charge of the election campaign. In this series, he reached Mokama for election campaign. Deputy CM Samrat Chaudhary was also present with him. Both the leaders held a road show, for which only 10 vehicles were allowed, but more vehicles were included in the convoy.
Let us tell you that voting will be held in two phases for Bihar Assembly elections. The first phase of voting will be held on 6 November and the second phase of voting will be held on 11 November. The results will be declared on 14th November.
