Film industry’s supermodel and fitness guru Milind Soman is celebrating his 59th birthday on Tuesday. Soman is also known for his fitness routine, which is not only very simple but also inspires the fans.

Soman has mentioned his fitness mantra in many interviews. The actor eats simple breakfast, avoids tea and coffee, focuses on exercise, yoga and meditation and stays away from oily things and this is the basis of his mantra of ‘Health is Wealth’.

Milind’s workout
In an interview, Milind had told that he does unique workouts inspired by nature, which fill him with energy for the whole day in just 15-20 minutes. Sometimes Milind is seen exercising in the rain on the open terrace, sometimes climbing mountains and cycling for many kilometers.

The special thing is that Milind does not follow a fixed schedule, but keeps changing his exercises according to the weather, place and mood. He is often seen running. The 20,000 Steps in the Forest of Stockholm or trekking in the Swiss Alps. He believes that running is not just an exercise but a special kind of meditation. A video of the actor went viral on social media, in which he cycled 80 km wearing running sandals.


In a very special way, the actor turns daily routine into a workout. They make cycling a part of the office commute, which strengthens the leg muscles and also works out the abdominal muscles. Milind’s favorite body weight exercise is pull-ups. While doing pull-ups from a tree branch in the forest, he says, “This is forest bathing, where nature itself becomes a gym.”

Hand stand practice gives importance
Actors also give great importance to hand stand practice. He does this exercise while standing upside down to improve balance and increase core strength. Push-ups are his signature, he can do 50 to 100 or even more in one stretch. He believes that push-ups train the chest, shoulders and triceps muscles very well.

Planks are considered enemies
He considers planks to be the enemy of belly fat. At the same time, yoga and meditation are an important part of his routine. His morning starts with Pranayam, which controls the breathing and gives mental peace. Not only this, he considers swimming as a booster.

Milind’s diet
Milind’s diet is also simple, he consumes a lot of fruits, green vegetables, coarse grains and meat. He stays away from packaged food and drinks 7-8 glasses of water and also gives priority to sleep. Let us tell you, the actor also stays away from tea and coffee.
