While addressing the election gathering in Bihar’s Kutumba, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has given a controversial statement regarding the army. He said that the Indian Army has control over 10 percent of the country’s population. BJP has hit back at Congress and Rahul Gandhi regarding this. In his speech, the Congress leader accused him of ignoring farmers, laborers and the poor.
10 percent people control the army
Congress MP Rahul Gandhi said, “If we look carefully, 90 percent of the country’s population is from Dalit, Mahadalit, backward, extremely backward or minority communities. If you take out the list of 500 biggest companies, you will not find any person from backward or Dalit communities there. They all come from the top 10 percent. All the jobs go to them. The same 10 percent people control the army. You will not find the representation of the remaining 90 percent population anywhere.”
‘Nitish Kumar made the people of Bihar laborers’
Taking aim at CM Nitish Kumar, he said, “The people of Bihar are working as laborers all over the country. The people of Bihar build big buildings, roads, tunnels, factories in different parts of the country. That is to say, the truth is that Nitish Kumar has made the people of Bihar the laborers of the country by eliminating employment from here. Just as the TV channel is changed with a remote, Modi-Shah change the channel of CM Nitish Kumar.”
Rahul Gandhi anti-army: BJP
BJP leader Pradeep Bhandari has targeted Rahul Gandhi and called him an opponent of the Indian Army. He posted on Twitter and said, “Rahul Gandhi now wants to divide our armed forces also on the basis of caste. The Indian Army, Navy and Air Force do not stand on the basis of caste, creed or class, but stand for nation first. Rahul Gandhi hates our brave armed forces. He is anti-Indian Army.”

Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi claimed that BJP has captured Nitish Kumar and now Nitish government will never be formed in Bihar. He said that the BJP government is working only for the big capitalists, while the rights of farmers, laborers and the poor are being ignored.
