The ongoing five-match T20 series between India and Australia is at a very exciting juncture these days. The series is tied at 1-1, but two players of the Indian team, Shubhman Gill and Abhishek Sharma are in the headlines on social media more than on the field. The reason was a photo of them, in which both of them are seen shirtless and enjoying on the Gold Coast beach. As soon as this picture went viral, the reaction of his mentor and former Indian all-rounder Yuvraj Singh became the most talked about.
Yuvraj said, ‘I will hit both of them with my shoes!’
Abhishek Sharma shared some pictures on Instagram of the fun-filled moments spent on the beach with his friend Shubhman Gill. Many fans showered love on the post, but Yuvraj Singh’s comment caught everyone’s attention. He wrote in Punjabi, “Jutti laavan dona de”, which means “I will hit both of them with shoes!”
Although he said this jokingly, it was clearly visible from his manner that he was laughing after seeing the fun between his two disciples and also did not forget to interrupt like a coach.
Both Gill and Abhishek are disciples of Yuvraj.
Shubhman Gill and Abhishek Sharma have been friends since childhood. Both of them started cricket together from the junior teams of Punjab and today have reached Team India. Not only this, the cricketing journey of both of them flourished under the guidance of Yuvraj Singh. Yuvraj himself has said many times that Gill and Abhishek feel like his younger brothers to him.
