1. Teenage – Hormones start changing in girls at about 11 to 14 years of age. Due to these hormonal changes, periods start. This is a sign that the body is now getting ready for pregnancy. Many physical changes take place in the body at this time. Such as breast growth, light hair on the body, mood changes, irritability or hormonal changes.
2. Stage of becoming a mother – Becoming a mother is a unique experience in every woman’s life, but this experience brings huge changes not only emotionally but also physically. During pregnancy, the amount of estrogen and progesterone hormones in the body increases significantly. This helps in the growth of the child, but also brings about many changes. 3. Time after delivery – After the birth of a child, women enter the postpartum phase. At this time the body gradually heals and the hormones increased during pregnancy become normal again. 4. Journey towards menopause – Around the age of 40, women’s hormones start changing again. 1. Hot Flashes and Night Sweats – Sudden feeling of heat in the body, redness of the face and sweating at night are very common symptoms. This happens because the level of estrogen hormone starts decreasing.
2. Dryness in Vagina – The moisture of the vagina decreases, due to which discomfort or burning sensation may be felt during intercourse.
3. Sleeplessness and fatigue – Sleep is affected due to night sweats, mood swings and anxiety.
4. Weight gain – Due to slow metabolism, fat increases around the stomach.
5. Bones becoming weak – Due to lack of estrogen, the amount of calcium decreases, which can lead to osteoporosis i.e. weakening of bones.
6. Mood swings and depression – Hormonal changes directly affect mental health. Many women feel sadness, irritability or anxiety.
7. Changes in skin and hair – The skin becomes loose and dry, while the hair can become thin and weak.
