India has given a sharp reaction after the remarks of Pakistan President Asif Ali Zardari on Wednesday (November 5, 2025). India said in a strict tone that Pakistan should pay attention to the serious challenges related to its development. He desisted from making false allegations against India.
Pakistan President Asif Ali Zardari had accused India that Delhi was using water as a weapon. After this comment, Indian Government Minister Mansukh Mandaviya gave a stern rebuke to the Pakistani President from the stage of the World Summit for Social Development held in Doha, the capital of Qatar.
What did Mansukh Mandaviya say at the World Summit?,
Mansukh Mandaviya, Minister of Labor and Employment in the Government of India, said at the summit, ‘We strongly object to the inappropriate and baseless comments made on India by Pakistan President Asif Ali Zardari.’
Mandaviya termed Zardari’s statements related to Indus Water Treaty and Kashmir as misuse of an international forum. He said, ‘This is a misuse of an international platform. An attempt is being made to divert the world’s attention from the real issues of social development by spreading misleading propaganda against India.
Clarifying the facts during the summit, he said, ‘In the context of the Indus Water Treaty, Pakistan has weakened the spirit of this agreement through continuous hostility and cross-border terrorism. He has tried many times to obstruct India’s legitimate projects by misusing the arrangements of the agreement.
Pakistan has no right to speak on Kashmir: Mandaviya
Mandaviya said, ‘As far as India’s Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir is concerned, Pakistan has no right to comment on India’s internal affairs. This applies specifically when Pakistan engages in activities of cross-border terrorism against Indian citizens.
He said, ‘Pakistan should focus on the problems related to the development of its country because these are the problems due to which today Pakistan has become dependent on the doles given by the international community.’

Pakistan President Asif Ali Zardari, during his speech on Tuesday (November 4, 2025), had alleged that India was violating the Indus Water Agreement. Terming this move as a serious threat, Zardari had said, ‘Now water is being used as a weapon against Pakistan. Violating the agreement means depriving millions of Pakistanis of their water rights.
