Eight months after the sensational Saurabh murder case of Meerut, the family of accused Muskaan Rastogi in Indiranagar of Brahmpuri area is now preparing to leave the city. On Wednesday, a poster of ‘house is for sale’ was seen outside his house. Muskan’s father Pramod Rastogi told that the family no longer wants to live in this city. He said, “Now only bad memories are left here. We will leave Meerut and make a new beginning.” Pramod’s wife Kavita and son Rahul also supported this decision.
Rastogi said that after this incident that happened on March 3, 2025, his social and economic condition has been badly affected and customers have stopped coming to his bullion shop and lenders have also stopped transactions. He said that the income of Muskaan’s younger sister, who gives tuition at home, also stopped because parents stopped sending their children.
The dead body was cut into four pieces, put in a drum and filled with cement.
According to the case registered with the police, Muskaan Rastogi, a resident of Indira Nagar of Brahmapuri police station area, along with her lover Sahil Shukla, had murdered her husband Saurabh Rajput on March 3. According to the FIR, both of them had cut the body into four pieces, put them in a drum and filled it with cement. After the incident, both of them had gone to Himachal Pradesh. Later, Muskaan informed her family about the crime, after which the family lodged a police complaint.
Saurabh’s family talked about getting the child’s DNA test done
The police arrested Muskan and Sahil and produced them in the court on March 19, from where they were sent to jail in judicial custody. Since then Sahil and Muskaan are lodged in Meerut district jail. According to sources, Muskaan is also pregnant and Saurabh’s family has talked about getting the child’s DNA test done. The family members say that if the child is Saurabh’s then they will accept it, otherwise not. Police said that Sahil is currently engaged in agricultural work in jail and only his grandmother and brother come to meet him, while Muskaan’s family has broken all relations with him.
