Bihar Assembly elections are being discussed in full swing in the country as well as in Pakistan. Pakistani newspaper Dawn, while mentioning Bihar elections on its front page, wrote that if the result of this election is different then Modi’s government at the Center may be in danger. It said that Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar’s JDU and TDP are mainly supporting the Modi government.
‘Modi government may be in danger’
The Pakistani newspaper wrote, “Bihar elections are like a litmus test for the Modi government. The BJP government is running with the support of its allies. If the result of the Bihar elections is slightly different and BJP’s relations with Nitish Kumar deteriorate, then the central government may also be in danger. JDU with 12 MPs and TDP with 16 MPs are holding the hand of PM Modi.”
‘Rahul Gandhi is important in Bihar elections’
According to Dawn, Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi is important in this election because he has made a tremendous comeback in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. It said, “BJP’s performance in Uttar Pradesh was very weak in the Lok Sabha elections held last year, due to which the Modi government could not touch the majority mark. However, Rahul Gandhi got this success in this election by being with his allies.”
‘Rahul Gandhi is busy challenging BJP’
It said, “Rahul Gandhi is trying to harass the BJP in Bihar too. The advantage for him is that Bihar is the only Hindi speaking state where the BJP has not been able to wrest power from its allies. Rahul Gandhi has alleged that the Election Commission is working with the BJP to steal votes in Bihar. Opposition leaders of India allege that the Election Commission is helping the BJP, especially by removing the names of Muslims.”
