Hyundai has launched its new generation Venue in India, which has more advanced features and updated design than before. Interestingly, the new Venue is built on the K1 platform of Kia Syros. However, the design of both is quite different from each other. The look of Venue is strong and stylish like an SUV, whereas the design of Syros is more high and compact in tallboy style. Let us know which of the top variants of both the cars is more feature-rich and value for money.
Price and engine options
- The top variant of the new Hyundai Venue comes in both HX 10 (Turbo Petrol DCT Automatic and Diesel Automatic) options. The top model HTX+ (O) variant of Kia Syros is also available with the same engine and transmission combination. Both SUVs come with 1.0-litre turbo petrol engine and 1.5-litre diesel engine with the option of DCT automatic transmission. In terms of price, both are almost similar, but Syros may be a little expensive due to some extra features in its top variant.
Who is ahead in exterior?
- If we talk about the exterior design and dimensions of both, then Kia Syros proves to be a bigger SUV than Venue by a slight margin. The wheelbase of Syros is 2,550mm, which is 30mm longer than the Venue. Its height is also 15mm more, which gives more headroom to the rear seat occupants. In terms of design, Syros has 17-inch alloy wheels, while Venue has 16-inch alloy wheels. The front grille and DRL design of Venue gives it a more muscular and SUV look, while the design of Syros gives it a slightly urban feel.
Interior and Features
- Both the SUVs are feature-packed and loaded with premium technology. Venue comes with features like touchscreen infotainment system, wireless charger, powered driver seat, and premium audio system. At the same time, Kia Syros is more feature-rich than Venue. It has advanced features like 5-inch separate AC control display, rear seat base ventilation, built-in air purifier, sliding rear seats and panoramic sunroof. These features are not present in the top variant of Venue, which gives Syros a step ahead in terms of interior features.
Safety and driving features
- In terms of safety, almost similar technology has been provided in both the SUVs. Both have features like Level-2 ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance System), traction control mode, paddle shifters, drive mode selection and adaptive cruise control. The build quality of the Venue is strong and made of high-strength steel, while the frame of the Syros is also quite stable due to the K1 platform. Both are provided with essential safety features like 6 airbags, rear camera, parking sensor, and electronic stability control.
- If you give priority to comfort, space and luxury features, then the top variant of Kia Syros will be better for you. At the same time, if you give more importance to SUV looks, rod presence and driving performance, then Hyundai Venue will prove to be a strong option.
