2.5 crore cash, 1000 yards plot and government job, this Indian player got bumper prize money


The Indian women’s cricket team won its first World Cup title last Sunday, after which the state government is also announcing prize money for all the players. In this episode, now Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has also announced a huge reward for Mr. Charani. Along with the prize money, Charani will also get land and a government job.

Under the captaincy of Harmanpreet Kaur, the Indian team won its first World Cup title by defeating South Africa in the final. The team received Rs 40 crore as prize money from ICC, BCCI separately announced a reward of Rs 51 crore for players and staff. The state government is announcing prize money for the players of their respective states. Shri Charani was also honored by the Andhra Pradesh government and announced reward money for him.

Shri Charani got a government job along with cash and land.

This was announced by posting from the official ‘X’ (Twitter) account of CMO Andhra Pradesh. “The Andhra Pradesh government led by Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu Garu has announced a cash award of Rs 2.5 crore, a 1,000 square yard house and a Group-I government job for Ms. Sri Charani in recognition of her exemplary performance in the ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup, 2025,” it said.

Shri Charani impressed in the World Cup

Shri Charani also bowled brilliantly in the World Cup final against South Africa, he put pressure on the opposing team by restricting runs at crucial moments. Charani took a big wicket in the form of Anne Bosch giving 48 runs in 9 overs in the final.

Talking about his World Cup performance, Shri Charani played all 9 matches in the tournament, in which he took a total of 14 wickets. He took 3 wickets against Australia in the league stage and 2 wickets in the semi-finals.
