There is good news for the youth of Rajasthan. Rajasthan Staff Selection Commission (RSSB) has started the recruitment process for the posts of Primary Teacher through REET Mains examination. The process of application for these posts has started from 7 November 2025. Interested candidates can apply by visiting the official website of the Commission, rssb.rajasthan.gov.in. The last date for application has been fixed as 6 December 2025.
Under this recruitment drive, appointments will be made on a total of 5636 posts. These posts are for teachers teaching classes 1 to 5 in government schools in various districts of the state. The Commission has said that this examination will be conducted between January 17 and January 21, 2026. The result of the examination and the appointment process will be completed by March 2026.
This much application fee will have to be paid
The application fee for this recruitment has been fixed category wise. General and OBC category candidates will have to pay a fee of Rs 600. An application fee of Rs 400 has been kept for SC, ST, OBC (non-creamy layer) and disabled candidates of Rajasthan state. Candidates will be able to pay the application fee through online mode only. The last date for depositing fees is also 6 December 2025.
Educational qualification
Higher Secondary (12th) pass with 50% marks from a recognized board and two year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed). The candidate must have passed Higher Secondary examination with 50% marks and B.El.Ed degree. Apart from this, it is also necessary for the candidates to pass the REET Level 1 examination.
age limit
The minimum age of the candidates has been fixed at 18 years and maximum age is 40 years. However, as per the rules of the state government, age relaxation will be provided to reserved categories.
exam pattern
The examination will be held in January 2026. The exam will be of total 300 marks, in which 150 multiple choice questions will be asked. The duration of the exam will be 2 hours 30 minutes. Deduction of one-third mark (Negative Marking) will be applicable for each wrong answer. In the examination, questions will be asked from subjects like teaching methodology, child development, environmental studies, Hindi, English, mathematics and general knowledge.

- Register new or login.
- Fill all the required information and upload the documents.
- After paying the application fee, submit the form and take its printout.
