Recently, producer Ratan Jain revealed that the role of Aishwarya Rai’s brother Max in ‘Josh’ was offered to some other superstar and not Shahrukh Khan. The interesting thing is that Aishwarya Rai was in a relationship with this superstar.

Ratan told in a latest interview given to TV 9 that initially, Aamir Khan and Shahrukh Khan were going to be in this film released in 2000. But ultimately, Shahrukh and Chandrachud Singh played these roles. Recalling the casting process, Ratan Jain said, “We had decided that Aamir would play Chandrachud’s role and Shahrukh would play Max. But Mansoor had told me that Aamir wanted to play Max. I said, ‘Absolutely not, only Shahrukh will do it, otherwise I will not do the film.’

It is noteworthy that Aamir and Mansoor are cousins ​​and Aamir started his film career with Mansoor’s film ‘Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak’.

After this, the makers arranged a joint narration and on that day the director, producer, Shahrukh and Aamir all reached the venue. He recalled, “Before the narration, Mansoor said that Aamir wanted to play Max. Shahrukh put on his shoes and walked away. He said, ‘So I’m not doing this film.'” However, both the stars were not available and the film was shelved. Later, this role was offered to Salman Khan, who was also interested in it.

We contacted Akshay Khanna, Saif Ali Khan and Chandrachud Singh, but the director wanted Chandrachud Singh.” However, Salman had signed Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s ‘Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam’, so Ratan contacted again and Shahrukh agreed. He said, “I went back to Shahrukh, I told him it had been done, and Salman didn’t seem like he wanted to do it.” Shahrukh asked for some time to think, and Ratan told him, “Now I have to do it, it’s my respect’s decision.” The next day Shahrukh called and confirmed, “I am doing it.”
